Huang Wang is the founder and CEO of Huami. A serial entrepreneur, he led embedded software and hardware teams with over 15 years of research and development experience in the industry. Like Huang Wang, most of the team graduated from the University of Science and Technology in China. They were the first to decode FLV and RMVB media players and released China’s first tablet, distinguished with the CTIA Emerging Technology Award in 2013. They were one of the only two Chinese teams who released smartwatches that same year. In 2014, Wang launched Huami, which is now the second largest manufacturer of wearables in the world. With Huami, he produced over 33 million units of the Mi Band under the Xiaomi brand. In September 2015, Huami released its own fashionable technology brand, Amazfit. In November, Huami made the Forbes list of “50 Fastest-Growing Tech Companies in China”.
